About the Role
Willoughby Retirement Community Association is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant/Handyperson to help keep residential and common areas safe, functional and welcoming.
Responsibilities
- Complete general maintenance and repairs
- Perform basic carpentry and handyperson duties
- Assist with grounds maintenance
- Move furniture, equipment and supplies
- Respond to maintenance requests
- Carry out routine safety checks and preventative maintenance
- Assist with resident function setup
Requirements
- Physically capable of regular lifting, bending, climbing and manual work
- Practical and resourceful with general maintenance skills
- Reliable and able to work independently and in a team
- Respectful and friendly when working with older residents
- Current driver's licence
- Previous maintenance or trades experience is advantageous
