About the Role

Willoughby Retirement Community Association is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant/Handyperson to help keep residential and common areas safe, functional and welcoming.

Responsibilities

Complete general maintenance and repairs
Perform basic carpentry and handyperson duties
Assist with grounds maintenance
Move furniture, equipment and supplies
Respond to maintenance requests
Carry out routine safety checks and preventative maintenance
Assist with resident function setup

Requirements

Physically capable of regular lifting, bending, climbing and manual work
Practical and resourceful with general maintenance skills
Reliable and able to work independently and in a team
Respectful and friendly when working with older residents
Current driver's licence
Previous maintenance or trades experience is advantageous
